Cleaning Your AdetCup
After using your menstrual cup, you need to clean it thoroughly. This is done by rinsing it with clean water and using a gentle soap. If possible, wash the cup in the sink or toilet and reinsert it. If you are not home, carry bottled water and a travel-sized soup to clean it properly.
After rinsing it thoroughly, you need to sterilize the menstrual cup. This will kill off any bacteria that could have caused an odor or stain. To do this, you should use hot water and submerge it in the water for 5 to 10 minutes. Then, store it in a storage pouch.
A sanitizing solution that you can find in many pharmacies or drug stores is an effective way to clean menstrual cups. The AdetWash is made from a solution of white vinegar and nine parts water. Because vinegar is natural, it doesn’t contain harmful ingredients and will effectively clean the cup. Then, rinse it off with clean water.
It would be best to clean the menstrual cup twice daily to remain sterile. However, wear a toilet seat cover if you must use it in public restrooms. In addition to a toilet seat cover, you should carry some wipes to wipe down the cup with a clean hand.
